CARING FOR EX-OFFENDERS

ReSettling into community

CFEO connects someone coming out of prison with a local church community in order to better assist that person's resettlement into society. The vision is to reduce reoffending by reintegrating ex-offenders into society through the local church.

National statistics suggest up to 60% of those released from prison will re-offend within one year. For those who are involved in a mentoring program like CFEO, the number reduces to as little as 17%.

As a church we want to love, encourage and support those people who are coming out of prison by providing mentoring, friendship, practical and prayer support.

We have also been invited by HMP Ford to hold quarterly services in their chapel. This is a great opportunity to build relationships whilst the men are still inside prison and a really incredible experience!
