We want to see the lonely loved, the homeless housed and the addicted set free
For The City
We are a church for the city! We want to see Portsmouth flourishing and people thriving. We want to see the lonely loved, the homeless housed and the addicted set free.
Portsmouth is an amazing city, but it’s not without challenges. Our church is located in one of the most deprived parishes in the UK (the bottom 2%): 49% of the children in the Parish live in Poverty, 47 % of families are lone parents, 72% of people in the parish live in Social Housing and 32% of working age people in the parish live in Poverty. Prostitution remains a longstanding issue along with homelessness and substance abuse. We are committed as a church to providing practical solutions to these issues.
There are many ways as a church that we want to meet the needs of the city and see it transformed; from our work with vulnerable women and ex offenders to our employability project delivered through Harbour Coffee House. We hope you feel inspired and choose to get involved.
